With the accelerating process of urbanization,floor billboards are becoming more and more common at commercial centers and city squares.And these billboards are used plate column in design.Considering the effect of the plate column,this paper presents a structural system which is used the opening plate to be welded directly to the circumference to replace the plate to investigate the mechanical properties and better decorative effect,called opening plate column in the paper.Using ANSYS based on the theory of three-dimensional finite element method in this paper,firstly make static analysis between the plate column and the opening plate column.It is found that the opening plate column has a development prospect,and it is worthy of further study.Then ANSYS is used to research the plate opening rate,structure height,plate thickness,wind load and component arrangement of the stress and displacement effect under the static load,the natural vibration period and the main node stress and displacement under the EL-Centro wave.Due to the lack of experimental proof,the general design software midas gen was used to analyze the structure by a small amount to study the possible problems in practical design.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: Both of ANSYS and midas gen show that the opening plate columns is better than the plate column and less expensive,especially better lateral resistance.When we use midas for structural design,it is recommended to reserve only a small amount of strength.The parameter analysis conclusions:(1)Plate opening rate.The amount of steel can be saved with opening rate,and also can be more beautiful and make the steel columns without some appearance fees.When the plate opening rate is more than 70%,the structure will greatly weaken the lateral resistance.(2)Structure height.The building height is so low that the mechanical properties of opening plate column can not play,but the displacement of excessive structure height is too large to be close to the standard limit.(3)Plate thickness.The steel plate thickness has no obvious influence on the static and dynamic performance of the structure,only to ensure that the thickness ratio of steel plate to meet the specification;(4)Wind load.Under static load,wind load plays the most important role in controlling the opening plate column.(5)Component arrangement.Under the component freely arranged,when the component distance is larger than 1.5 m,the structural period ratio will not meet the specification requirements.
