Electrical contact is the core component of switch electrical appliances.And it is one of the most vulnerable parts of switch electrical appliances.If the electrical contact can not work normally,it will bring very serious consequences.AgSnO2 is a new type of environmentally friendly contact materials.It has broad application prospects.It is most likely to replace traditional toxic contact materials-AgCdO.However,there are some defects on AgSnO2 contact materials.First,AgSnO2 has large contact resistance and high temperature under the effect of arc for a long period of time.Second,AgSnO2 has poor plasticity and ductility that makes the material difficult to be machined.The production cost of AgSnO2 is too high,which is unfavorable for promotion.Wettability is a fundamental physical property of the metal-ceramic material.The wettability between the matrix metal and the reinforced phase has the vital effect to the performance of the composite materials when the metal-ceramic material was prepared.Because of this it is necessary to study the relationship between the wettability and the electrical contact performance.Firstly,TiO2,La2O3,Bi2O3,CeO2 and Fe2O3 were selected as additives and mixed with AgSnO2 contact material in different proportion.The wettability of each group materials were tested.And three kinds of additives that have the most obvious effect on wettability were selected.The wettability variation under the effect of different additives were Obtained.Secondly,AgSnO2 contact materials were processed into contact by the method of powder metallurgy.The electrical contact materials tester was used to detect the electric contact performance of AgSnO2 contact materials.Material contact resistance,arc energy,number of fusion welding and other data were acquired.Thirdly,the test results of electrical contact performance and wettability were compared and the influence of the wettability to the electrical contact properties of AgSnO2 contact materials was analyzed.
