Steering system is an important control mechanism,which has a great influence on the safety and handling stability of vehicles.Electric power steering(EPS)systems,uses the motor output torque as an auxiliary power source,which improves the stability and the steering portability of the vehicle.And it conforms to the development direction of the vehicle with the goal of safety,energy saving and environmental protection.Therefore,the EPS system has gained more and more attention.Through rapid control prototyping(RCP)technology,can be used for the simulation of electronic control system of EPS,which can greatly shorten the development cycle,and improve the efficiency of research and development.In this paper,I use the rapid control prototyping technology to develop,and study the EPS system for commercial vehicle.First of all,I carried out the design of the steering test bed and the dSPACE real-time system,and established the simulation platform of EPS rapid control prototype based on dSPACE.Choose the permanent magnet brushless DC motor as the power of the motor,and establish logic commutation control strategy model.Then,analyze the EPS system needs to provide the steering performance when the car in different driving conditions.For the three control modes of power assist control,return control and damping control,establish the target current control strategy model.By comparing and analyzing the target current and the actual current of the motor,to realize the closed-loop control of the motor current,design the adaptive fuzzy PID control strategy model.Finally,establish the control strategy model of EPS system is,and set up the I/O interface by RTI.By using EPS rapid control prototype simulation platform,the steering portability test,steering wheel angle step response test and steering return-to-center performance test were carried out.The results show that the designed EPS system meets the requirements of steering performance,which indicates that the design and control strategy of the EPS system are analyzed,and the design requirements are satisfied.
