As a kind of high efficiency hydraulic speed regulation device,hydraulic planetary gear speed regulation device has a good prospect in the field of high speed and high power transmission.The adjustable hydraulic torque converter is the core component of the hydraulic speed regulation device.The fixed guide wheel of the general guide vane adjustable hydraulic torque converter is the axial impeller,and the structure of the middle shell and the inner loop,so the structure is complex,only the precision casting method can be used for processing production.The research object is a kind of adjustable hydraulic torque converter with fixed guide wheel for radial installation.the complex intermediate shell is eliminated,which is convenient for machining assembly,thus saving the production cost and shortening the whole manufacturing cycle.In this paper,the application of computational fluid dynamics in hydraulic transmission is introduced based on the working characteristics and structural characteristics of adjustable vane adjustable hydraulic torque converter.By analyzing the working characteristic curve of a certain type of hydraulic speed governing planetary device in foreign countries,the design parameters and the expected torque converter characteristics of a new type of structural hydraulic torque converter are determined.In this paper,a new type of radial fixed guide wheel adjustable hydraulic torque converter is designed.first,circular circle,radial fixed guide wheel and adjustable guide wheel structure can be determined.With the necessary parameters of pump impeller and turbine structure,the pump impeller and turbine model of EL9 type and JIB2 type centrifugal turbine hydraulic torque converter which have been used in reciprocating pump and internal combustion engine are tried to simulate the hydraulic modeling of the flow structure of the adjustable hydraulic torque converter,and the scheme of the JIB2 type pump vortex structure is confirmed.at this time,the torque converter model can achieve the highest efficiency with the designed speed ratio of i*TB=1.0,the maximum efficiency is 84.97%,and the rationality of adopting the foreign similar hydraulic torque converter structure is verified,and the guide vane opening of the best condition is determined.On the basis of previous research work,according to the current hydraulic model,analyze the main factors affecting the transmission efficiency of hydraulic torque converter,optimize the pump impeller inlet and outlet installation angle,make the new structure hydraulic torque converter transmission efficiency get further improvement,through the post-processing software to the blade streamline distribution direction,further to the blade leaf type optimization,make fluid flow along the blade bone line direction,make the hydraulic torque converter has better performance.The numerical simulation results of the fixed guide vane installation angle further verify the rationality of the model structure.Finally,the adjustable hydraulic torque converter model of the radial fixed guide vane can achieve the highest efficiency in the predetermined design speed ratio i*TB= 1.0,its maximum efficiency is 85.916%,the variable condition characteristic curve under the optimum guide vane and the numerical simulation results of variable guide vane opening meet the expected requirements.The hydraulic calculation model of different adjustable guide vane opening is calculated and the general characteristics are analyzed.The hydraulic model of the torque converter,which is 24 %,41 %,49 % and 58 %,is simulated and calculated,and the efficiency curve,pump wheel torque diagram,turbine torque curve and circulation flow diagram are analyzed.the correctness and rationality of the model are further verified.The flow field in the typical start-up and design conditions of the torque converter is analyzed,mainly to analyze the variation characteristics of the velocity flow chart and pressure diagram under different opening degrees.In general,the model of a new type of adjustable hydraulic torque converter is established,and its cascade system is optimized and its working characteristics are analyzed.
