Study On Landscape Ecological Revetment Engineering Practice

Throughout the Yangtze River region,it has been well-known to use flood control embankment facilities for flood protection.The traditional methods and materials used have made an outstanding contribution,0with more emphasis on the eco-environment and landscape design,the traditional method for constructing needs to be updated.This paper based on this very need,has carried out research for traditional ecological construction method of flood control facilities,materials,and existing case studies on the flood control embankment,using eco-technologies,materials and other relatively mature eco-engineering methods,with more integration of the ecological environment concern,it is hoped to modify images of lifeless and unbalanced river-embankment.The river frontage of Chongqing including the Yangtze River and Jialing River consists of a total length of 230 km,with diverse riverfronts.Therefore,it is important to construct and manage the riverfront with the first rule to meet the safety requirement,then the most important management objective would be to search for a better environment,more ecological and durable revetment.For this purpose,this paper has focused on the Guang Yang island in Chongqing as a case study as it is a large island with the most rich ecological and natural conditions.Construction work started in May 2011,the ring revetment is about 11.3km length.The project uses local material and proposes the lower part of the slope embankment-type sandstone rockfill foot care while the upper part of the aggregate mixture compacted backfill slope at 183.00 m elevation following design using Gabion grass surface protection to build grass surface cover.The initial implementation result forms a gabion revetment ecological way of practical,ecological landscape effect.This paper has used the overall design including construction technology,construction management,inspection,construction through analysis of case study,and summarized methods for future revetment project through design and construction and implementation.Key aspects include:(1)interpretation of revetment of development history,ecological revetment research provides guidance.(2)summary of the function and meaning of ecological revetment.(3)cross-sectional analysis of various forms of revetment and building methods.(4)analysis of existing bank protection works along the Yangtze River on behalf of cases.(4)description of revetment project reporting and approval procedures.(5)analysis of illustrates for the Guang Yang island revetment overall program design and use of new technology.(6)description of revetment construction organization and management.(7)summary of program design,construction technology,construction management experience and lessons learned.
