The icing of transmission line has serious harm to the safe operation of power system.Automated de-icing and prevent icing are problems need to be solved for power sector.For automated de-icing and prevent icing,with the Curie temperature?Tc?of 1-5? of line,makes the material appear ferromagnetic when the ambient temperature lower than Tc,the heat produced by hysteresis loss can prevent or melt ice,and paramagnetic when the ambient temperature lower than Tc,no heat produced for avoiding energy loss.Preparing the material with Tc meets the requirements is the key for transmission line de-icing.In response to this reality,the paper started from selecting component of alloy,prepared Fe63-xMnxCr17B20?x=0,1,3,5,8,10?ferromagnetic material by bar plasma spray.Used X-ray diffractometer?XRD?,vibrating sample magnetometer?VSM?and transmission electron microscopy?TEM?to study the phase composition,Curie temperature,hysteresis loop and amorphous degree of the alloy before spray,and the material compared by plasma spray,and provide basis for preparing the coating with Curie temperature of 1-5? on surface of transmission line.The research indicates that:?1?The Curie temperature of Fe63Cr17B20 amorphous alloy prepared by bar plasma spray is 283.2K?10.2 ??,which has the saturation magnetization of 26.93emu/g and coercivity of 1960e at 273K.The saturation magnetization of Fe63-xMnxCr17B20 alloy at 273K decrease from 97.05emu/g to 24.24emu/g,with the content of Mn increase from 1%to 10%.The Curie temperature of each ingredient of Fe63-xMnxCr17B20 alloy is higher than 350K.?2?The magnetization of sheet material prepared by plasma spray with the bar width of 3mm are different from mother alloy:the saturation magnetization of sheet material at 273K are smaller than mother alloy,with the content of Mn are 1%,3%and 5%,and bigger than mother alloy with the content of Mn are 8%and 10%.The saturation magnetization of sheet material prepared by plasma spray with the bar width of 3mm at 273K decrease and then increase with the content of Mn increase from 1%to 10%,and have a minimum of 19.65emu/g.All the Curie temperature of sheet material are higher than 3 50K.?3?The magnetic of Fe63-xMnxCr17B20 material prepared by bar plasma spray with the width of 2mm is smaller than mother alloy,except alloy with 10%Mn;the saturation magnetization at 273K of material with 8%is smallest,28.53emu/g.?4?To base metal of Fe58Mn5Cr17B20 with the bar size of 2mm,under parameters of argon pressure of 0.85MPa,hydrogen pressure of 0.32MPa,electric current of 500A,and voltage of 50V,the material with Curie temperature of 276.2K,saturation magnetization of 49.28emu/g,and coercivity of 1960e can be prepared by plasma spray.It has a lower Curie temperature and bigger saturation magnetization than Fe63Cr17B20 amorphous alloy,can meet the requirements of de-icing for transmission line.
