Cultural Renaissance: A Study On The Strategy Of Historic District Reconstruction Under The Angle Of Community Development

Historical Districts remain in the city's space and time,with rich cultural relics and historical buildings,which is an integral part of people's collective memory and the history of the city.In the process of urban expansion,various cities rise “old city transformation” movement,many valuable historical blocks were destroyed,accompanied by the destruction of urban cultural space,the disappearance of historical context,the disappearance of urban memory and local characteristics,neighborhood relations and social networks Collapse and other issues become increasingly seriously,the deep-seated reason is the lack of cultural construction in urban construction.How to balance the protection and development of historical blocks in the wave of urbanization,reshape the local cultural characteristics by more and more experts and scholars attention.In the face of similar dilemma,“Community Development” movement in Taiwan is blooming,which from “People”,“Culture”,"Landscape”,“Industry”,“Scenery” several major attempts to revive the uniqueness of local culture Carried out a positive exploration,provided an experience and reference for the transformation of historical blocksThis paper focuses on the study of the transformation strategy of historical district,based on the “Community Development ” this new perspective,take Beibei as a case study.This paper attempts to use the literature research method and the field research method to sort out the problems of urban development and transformation in Beibei.It tries to make a new perspective based on the new perspective of “People”,“Culture”,“Industry”,“Scenery” revival path,and finally explore the historical blocks towards cultural heritage and local revitalization of the transformation strategy.The first part of the article firstly points out that “ lack of culture” is the core problem in the transformation of historical blocks,and briefly introduces the positive practice of Taiwan,how to seek the revival of local culture through “Community Development” in the face of similar dilemmas,which provides a new perspective.The second part is a simple sorting and commentary,scholars generally believe that the renovation of historical blocks should focus on the revival of culture,The study of the history of the neighborhood from the architecture,landscape science,the lack of humanistic care,community construction is more from the sociology and culture to start,provides a new perspective for this paper.The third part is the research framework based on the previous two parts.The fourth part take Beibei old city as a specific object case,a brief record of the changes in the old city of Beibei,sort out problems in the transformation in the “old city construction”.The fifth part is from “People”,“Culture”,“Industry”,“Scenery” of “Community Development”,,to build and put forward specific transformation strategy for Beibei.The sixth part is the summary of the article,combined with the contents of the previous parts,summed up the perspective of community building based on the historical transformation of the district,come to the point of view: cultural revival is the development power of historical district towards cultural heritage and local revitalization.Cultural revival has two levels of concrete connotation: Firstly,“Protection”,emphasizing the continuation and inheritance of history and culture.the second is “Innovation”,emphasizing the injection of new elements of the times,to achieve cultural innovation and development.
