With the "Aging in place" model to become the main choice for the elderly,The community pension problem has become increasingly prominent,The requirements of public space applicability and catering for elder people increasingly be improved,So that the renovation model and specific construction measures for built up community are increasingly concerned about.In December 2016,the State Council issued a number of views on the comprehensive opening of the old-age service market to improve the quality of pension services,In order to enhance the quality of life in the community.home care service to promote the full coverage of pension services and improve the level of living convenience of the elderly specific requirements.public space renovation in communities is suitable for the elderly as an effective way to realize the elderly people in the existing community.It may be the inevitable choice for livable community environment construction.This paper aims to construct the strategy and method,which meet the demand of “aging in place”,Based on the study of the development of suitable public space in typical cities in China,Through the review of domestic and foreign literature research and case practice,Sort out the specific methods for public space survey in existing community,And through field reconnaissance,questionnaires,interviews and behavioral observations,Analysis and summary the renovation appeal in Lotus pond community in three aspects: the traffic system,activity venue and public facility.The discussion of spatial renewal scheme is based on the background and characteristics of community public space,As well as the specific requirements in the existing construction standards,Combined with practical experience at home and abroad,And summarizes the strategies and methods of public space renovation in the community,Put forward the concrete suggestions of six aspects: construct of the level of public space-Integration of various elements of the public space to form a network-improve the traffic system-The implementation of various types of leisure activities – the renovation of public service facilities-Place sketches and barrier-free facilities in space.Finally,based on the experience of community renovation in developed countries and regions,this paper discusses the main unit responsible,the renovation program,the source of the investment,and the way to operation for the implementation of the project.Made clear that renovation catering for elder people under the thought of aging in place,Should be dedicated by the community public space update promotion center as the main body of responsibility,Take public participation,bottom-up to promote the renovation,Through a wide range of investment channels and benign operating mechanism to protect its implementation.
