To realize situ running state monitoring and control and sealing operation data remote sharing of non-contacting gas seals,based on the comprehensive analysis of state of the art about controllability and the monitoring and control system of mechanical seals,the following three aspects were mainly studied in this paper.Firstly,from the direct control of the seal face deformation morphology,in the light of the severe deformation phenomenon of the non-contacting spiral grooved gas film seal end faces during the condition of high operation parameters,the axial thermal deformation,mechanical deformation and deformation taper of rotating and stationary seal ring end faces were calculated and analyzed by using the Ansys Workbench software.To achieve the object of online regulation of gas seal end face deformation,the method of setting the hydraulic cavity in the stationary ring was put forward,and the validity of this method was tested through the numerical simulation.The simulation results showed that this method can realize the regulation of the mechanical deformation taper of the gas film seal stationary ring end face,and the mechanical deformation law of the stationary ring end face in variation of different hydraulic chamber pressure was calculated.Secondly,as the calculation of the seal ring end face deformation is complex,and the regulation and control mechanism has impact on the seal ring structure,the method of setting the hydraulic cavity in the stationary ring is not suitable for the practical use.By using a direct monitoring of the mean clearance of the gas film seal end face,and the controllable electromagnetic force was introduced into the mechanical balance system in the gas film seal,a closed loop control system of the mean clearance of the gas film seal end face was implemented by using the fuzzy control method.The gas film seal was simplified as a mass-spring-damping system.The two-dimensional single output Mamdani fuzzy controller was designed,and the closed loop control system was studied by simulation using the Matlab/Simulink software.The simulation results showed that the regulation of the mean clearance of the gas film seal end faces can be realized by the fuzzy control method,and the optimal fuzzy controller was determined.Finally,on the basis of the above study on the controllability of the gas film seal,a situ running state monitoring and control system of the gas film seal was built based on the Virtual Instrument technology,and a hybrid model of B/S and C/S networked remote monitoring system was designed using the remote data communication technology of LabVIEW.The system interface was direct and easy to operate,and can meet the requirements for remote monitoring of gas film seals.The above research contents are of great significance on the richness of the running state control method of non-contacting gas film seals and the building of the networked monitoring platform of mechanical seals.
