Flow-path design is a significant task in engine preliminary design.The main work of flow-path design is to determine the flow-path of main components for the engine integration and the internal components design.In the process of aero-engine design,the design of the flow-path and each component need to be iterated and coordinated.The 2D flow-path design method can accurately predict the performance and the size of engine components and shorten the iterative design time effectively.Furthermore,the 2D overall performance research which based on the design result of the flow-path and the CFD calculation method is the trend of the research on the engine integration.Therefore,this paper first developed the design method of the engine flow-path based on the Mach number of the characteristic cross section,proposed that the characteristic section Mach number is the key parameter through the whole flow-path design process and used the third-order spline curve draw the flow-path to ensure the smoothness of flow-path.Then,this paper designed the gas turbine flow-path,F135 flow-path and the turboprop flow-path,and the blades of three flow-paths are designed based on the blade shape design method of S1 flow surface.Finally,in order to verify the design of the flow-path,this paper developed the S1/S2 coupling CFD calculation method.The calculation results show that the performance parameters of the flow-path can meet the design index well,proving that the flow-path design method has the ability to quickly and reliably generate the flow-path of whole engine.
