Dump truck is a special vehicle which can unload goods by hydraulic or mechanical lifting mechanism,which can complete transport and unloading operations.Due to the complexity of the work environment and the use of overload in China,the rectangular cars are widely used.In order to pursue the strength of the carriage,the carriage is too weight and too large,accounting for about 30% of the vehicle quality.With the gradual improvement of relevant laws and regulations in China,industry standards gradually improve,and standard transportation has become mainstream.Therefore,research and development of lightweight carriage has important significance,which can reduce the quality of dump truck,and also can further explore the dump truck market.The main research work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,combined with the current situation of domestic and foreign research on lightweight design,taking into account the actual situation of domestic enterprises,the significance of this research is further clarified.The realization of the lightweight method is diversified.Through the analysis of the existing research results,it is concluded that the development of the new type of U will make the total quality of the vehicle lighter and the cost of the vehicle is almost the same as the traditional Dump truck which has the rectangle carriage.Marked transport under the U-car compared with the traditional rectangular car has a greater superiority,especially U-type compartment lighter weight,which lines with energy saving,environmental protection design.Secondly,based on the existing chassis of a certain type of rectangular car chassis parameters,its lightweight sub-frame,U-type carriage would be designed and developed.Combined with chassis parameters and related CAD two-dimensional drawings,the U-type coat design principle was be determined and three-dimensional modeling of sub-frame and U-car was made by SolidWorks.By using the relevant modules under HyperWorks platform,the corresponding finite element model was build.Selected the reasonable calculation conditions to simulate the actual working conditions of the dump truck,and applied reasonable restraints and loads to the car,sub-frame and key components,the finite element analysis of U-type coat was made.By analyzingthe corresponding stress distribution cloud and torsional deformation cloud,the stress concentration area and the unreasonable part of the structure were further optimized.Finally,the corresponding U-type car coat manufacturing technology requirements were formulated.this design U-type car coat trial was made and assembling succeeded with the original chassis.The test indicators are qualified with the vehicle inspection specifications for the prototype test.Compared with the traditional rectangular car structure,the total quality reduced 1130 kg,lightweight range of up to 23%.It is ultimately to achieve mass production into the market,which is not only in line with the practical needs of enterprises,but also enriching the enterprise product line.At the same time,U-type cars,sub-frame lightweight design makes the cost of raw materials significantly reduced.Therefore,the performances of the dump truck's power and economy have also been greatly improved.
