| Epoxy asphalt is a revolutionary new material in paving construction,it can form the insoluble and no melting crosslinking system after curing,which changes intrinsic properties of thermoplastic asphalt and promote the paving service of asphalt.,epoxy asphalt is widely used as bridge deck pavement.The epoxy asphalt presents a cross-linked structure after curing,and it does not melt at high temperature,which shows good high temperature performance and anti-rutting performance.However,the composition of epoxy asphalt is composed of multiple components of asphalt,the high polarity of the epoxy resin and a higher reaction activity of curing system,which results in a more complex multiphase polymer system after mixing and curing.When different experiment methods and selecting different raw materials are used to prepare epoxy asphalt,the different performance of epoxy asphalt will be obtained.In the study of high temperature epoxy asphalt pavement material,we found a key factor that the performance of epoxy asphalt pavement material is effected by the compatibility and phase structure of epoxy resin and asphalt.Therefore,it is very important to study the effect of different mixing temperature,stirring time and stirring rate on the phase structure of epoxy asphalt.The selection of raw materials of epoxy asphalt also have a significant effect on phase structure and mechanical properties,biphenyl A type epoxy resin is widely used in the market,due to its stable performance,low price.Curing system cannot be replaced due to epoxy pavement asphalt mixing,special in the high temperature paving process(upper 170℃).However,the various sources of asphalt can be chosen,different asphalt binders have different chemical properties,composition,density,rheology and so on.We found that different original asphalt binders have a significant impact on the performance of epoxy asphalt material.Therefore,the research on compatibility,mechanical properties and dynamic mechanical properties of epoxy asphalt produced by different original asphalt provides a theoretical reference for epoxy asphalt paving design and construction.The study is focused on the effect of microstructure and mechanic properties of different original asphalt in different mixing time,mixing temperature and mixing speed.The study selects three kinds of asphalt binders: SK90#,SK70# asphalt and SBS modified asphalt.The result showed that there are a lot difference in mixing temperature,mixing time and mixing speed.The compatibility,mechanical properties of the same epoxy asphalt prepared at 170℃ or 190℃ are better than prepared at 150℃.The compatibility,mechanical properties of the epoxy asphalt mixed for 5min are also better than mixed for 1min and 3min.The compatibility,mechanic properties of the same asphalt is better in 500r/min mixing speed than in 200r/min and 1500r/min.At the same time,There were studied in different original asphalt,aging asphalt and virgin asphalt and three kinds of different manufacturers of the same label original asphalt prepared epoxy asphalt in solidification microstructure,mechanical properties,glass transition temperature and the relative density of three kinds of asphalt,chemical composition and FTIR to evaluate performance of the quality of epoxy asphalt comprehensively.The results show that the properties of epoxy asphalt used SBS modified asphalt are better than others.There are a lot differences between unaged epoxy asphalt and aged epoxy asphalt.The tensile strength and compatibility of aged SK90# epoxy asphalt is better than unaged epoxy asphalt,however the elongation at break of unaged epoxy asphalt is better than aged epoxy asphalt.The tensile strength and compatibility of aged SK70# epoxy asphalt is better than unaged epoxy asphalt,however the elongation at break of unaged epoxy asphalt is better than aged epoxy asphalt.The physical and chemical properties of three kinds of epoxy asphalt binders marked grade 90# have great differences.The compatibility of epoxy asphalt used SK90# as original asphalt is worse than the epoxy asphalt used Shell and Karamay as original asphalt.The tensile strength of epoxy asphalt used SK90# as original asphalt is worse than others.However,the elongation at break of epoxy asphalt used SK90# as original asphalt is better than others.At the same time,the mechanic properties of epoxy asphalt used different dosage SBS as original asphalt is different.The tensile strength and elongation at break of epoxy asphalt used 4% SBS asphalt binder as original asphalt are better than other dosage asphalt binders. |
