With the rapid development of our country nowadays,road construction has become an important indicator of economic construction and overall national strength.The rapid development of highway,railway construction,especially the provincial highway network within the scope of national,and rapid expansion and reconstruction of the municipal highway,forcing the construction companies to be confronted with the problem of shortening of survey periods,increasing workload,and complicated topographic survey.The airborne laser LiDAR technology can efficiently access to a wide range,high precision 3D point cloud information in large quantities,which can improve the design characteristics of acquisition and road based data highway construction industry in our country to a great extent.It is widely applied in recent years.Compared with the traditional method,DEM model generated by the airborne LiDAR point cloud data has obvious advantages in feature extraction problems such as road design process.The main work and research contents of this paper are as follow:(1)It introduces the rapid development of road network in China,the practical problems encountered in the measurement process and requirements for the efficiency and speed of road measurement.Besides,it discusses the midpoint line extraction in road reconstruction and extension design domestically and abroad.(2)It comprehensively introduces the system of airborne laser components of LiDAR,related researches,compare the pros and cons of airborne laser LiDAR and aerial photogrammetry,and several main applications of airborne laser LiDAR technology.(3)It discusses several commonly used filtering method of airborne LiDAR point cloud data processing in road blocks,and analyzes the experimental results.It proves that the filtering method based on slope effect of filter block road point cloud functions the best.It achieves the extraction of road point cloud with the method of constrained TIN length and point cloud clustering method three.It also studies the development of 3D modeling of spline interpolation and hole patching triangulation growth method for the road.(4)Based on triangulation model,it applies the Alpha Shapes algorithm to achieve the boundary line of road point cloud extraction,and fit the data of road boundary point cloud,the extraction of road boundary line and road midline through three B spline curve fitting method.In addition,it studies the interpolation algorithm based on the TIN model of the line,and according to the the longitudinal line interpolated directly into the 3D model,it works out the crossing sectional drawing with equidistant sampling method of interpolation.Further more,it analyzes the accuracy of the results according to the domestic requirements to design vertical and horizontal section.
