Research Of Rural Construction Based On The Social Capital

Since the reform and opening up,rapid development of the urbanization and the market economy has made the city became a main space to promote the national industrial propulsion and accumulate the population wealth accumulation.Affected by the violent urban expansion and industrial pollution,the living environment in vast rural areas are suffering serious impacts,such as great outflow of labors and increasing marginalization of rural areas.In the view of social capital theory,the dilemma of social development and construction is resulted from the disintegration of social structure in rural areas,which is unable to organize the villagers' actions together.For this reason,there,also,is not enough substantial internal and external resources to promote the construction of rural areas.In China the lack of social capital has become one of the important reasons to restrict the development and construction in the rural areas.Therefore,social capital research will definitely provide a new analytical perspective to discuss the social structure remodeling and construction problem in the rural areas.Based on the perspective of social capital,this paper reviews the related research literature of social capital in the domestic and foreign country and takes the Longshantang Village of Xinxing County in Guangdong Province and Bo Xue Village of Haikou City in Hainan Province as empirical cases.By study the top-down and bottom-up construction process,which were dominated by different subjects in the in rural planning and construction practice,this paper could explores the remodeling path of rural social capital and the experience and challenges of rural construction,which were dominated by different subjects,so as to provide a supplementary and reference significance to the rural social capital Theory and the practice of rural planning and construction.The paper is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which expounds the research background,the research significance,the research method and the frame and define the related concept.The second chapter is a literature review of the social capital and the rural development construction and the research of related theory,which mainly reviews and summaries the related research literature of social capital in the domestic and foreign country.It analyzes the current situation of rural social capital in this period,at the same time it summarizes the situation and shortcomings of the relevant theories and practices to give us the enlightenment for this article.The third chapter is the empirical research of ‘top-down' rural construction,taking the Longshantang Village of Xinxing County in Guangdong Province as an example.This paper,based on the reviews of the process and way of rural livable construction,discusses the experience and challenge of rural social capital remodeling,rural planning and livable environment construction in the form of ‘top-down',which is introduced in the practice of rural livable construction in Guangdong Province.The fourth chapter is the empirical research of ‘bottom-up' rural construction,taking Bo Xue Village of Haikou City in Hainan Province as an example.It,based on the reviews of the process and way of community construction,discusses the experience and challenge of rural social capital remodeling and rural construction in the form of ‘bottom-up',which is introduced in the practice of community construction.The fifth chapter is about the comparison research and thinking of the social capital remodeling and rural construction,which summarizes the two rural construction modes: one is the ‘top-down' mode,dominated by the government,the other one is the ‘bottom-up' mode dominated by the villagers and social organization.On the basis of the construction method and shortages of this two modes,it references the successful community construction experiences of Taomi village in Taiwan and finally put up with some suggestions to the rural planning and construction at the present stage in China.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and prospect of the research it puts forward the main conclusions of this paper,which not only summarizes the shortcomings of this paper but also come up with the research direction in the future.
