Museum is the witness of human spiritual development as well as the community for cultural popularization and exchange,witnessed the progress of society.With the constantly updated architectural design concepts,the surrounding environment plays a increasingly role in Museum design.Using environment to decorate the Museum theme become an effective way.In the development process of Museum,the theme of the spirit of Museum,or the desire to return to nature,or the inreasingly tense urban land forged,formed a Museum building type which combined Landform and Museum.In this type of architectural design,it is necessary to deal with the complex construction base,and properly handle the building inside and outside functional space;but also with the help of natural terrain environment to create a specific place to make a sense of place;Protect the ecological environment must also be considered.This paper is based on this background to explore Museum architecture and Landform compatible design.Firstly,the paper analyzes diverse causes,advantages and disadvantages and the basic characteristics of the combination of Landform and Museum,and summarizes the different Landform features that affect the Museum design.Secondly,Analysis and summarization,respectively,from the material level,the spirit of the two aspects of the Museum and Landform compatibility characteristics and then put forward the development of the exhibition and the shape of the compatibility principle and strategy.At the end of the paper,the paper analyzes the application of the compatibility strategy of the Landform environment in the creation of the Huashan Rock Painting Museum.It is hoped that through the research and analysis of this paper,we will pay more attention to the natural environment of the building and the harmonious coexistence with the natural environment,rather than just the independent character of the building.Through some of the current case analysis and data collation,summed up some valuable design strategies for Museum design in future.
