The development of Smart Home can be divided into three stages.The first stage is that devices connect to the Internet through wired or wireless way.The second stage is that devices can run automatically and trigger the operations of other devices.The third stage is that devices can run intelligently through artificial intelligence and big data technology.Currently,Smart Home is in the transition period from the first stage to the second stage.Device-linkage is that when one or more devices’ running status meet certain conditions,triggering the operations of other devices.It’s a major of the second stage of the development of Smart Home as well as the basis of the third stage.The research and applications of the related technology of Device-linkage is not yet mature at home and abroad.There exist many issues such as the complex user configuration,the low execution efficiency and the conflict situation happens when a device is triggered to perform multiple operations at the same time.This paper is based on the the Smart Home platform of the laboratory project.The platform has achieved the goals of the first stage of the development of Smart Home including access,remote control,data acquisition and management of devices.This paper aimed at the target of the second stage of the development of Smart Home and the issues in the research of Devicelinkage.The work of this paper is as follows:(1)Study rule engine,pattern matching algorithm and other key technologies to implement Device-linkage.Combining the characteristics in Smart Home,design the Device-linkage rule representation model based on production rule and the Device-linkage fact representation model based on datapoints.(2)For the conflict situation happens when a device is triggered to perform multiple operations at the same time,propose the conflict resolution strategy of the execution of the control action of devices to avoid the deivces being in an unstable or uncertain state.In addition,this paper propose the optimization strategy of the execution of the control action of devices to avoid devices excecuting unnecessary operation.(3)Design and implement the rule-based Device-linkage engine.The Device-linkage engine contains three functional modules: the rule parsing module,the fact generating module and the action handling module.The Device-linkage engine integrates the Drools engines to carry out pattern matching between rules and facts.(4)Design and implement the extension scheme of the existing Smart Home platform which achieved the goals of the first stage of the development of Smart Home.The platform has the ability of providing Device-linkage service and alerting service after integrating the Device-linkage engine and completing the extension of existing components.The work of this paper provide reference for research and application of the Device-linkage and also help to promote the development of Smart Home in our country.
