Web light-gauge joist steel system is a new type of steel structure,coming from Canada with such many advantages as light weight,assigning space flexible,higher standardizing industrialization producing,short construction period,good performance of the seismic resistant,protecting environment and energy.This new type of building system can greatly propel the process of the housing industrialization,it's no doubt that this new type of building system has a good prospect.At present,this kind of building is mainly two or three storey,with land tensions and it can not satisfy the customers' demand for the dwelling area very well.It is a problem of much needed research to apply web steel to multiple stories identical building and consider various load combinations especially the seismic action to the security of the structure.Now there are seldom researches reported on overall seismic performance of web steel frame.To solve this problem,this paper will study effects on seismic performance of the structures under the conditions of different aspect ratio and different number of the bay.Eight models of the buildings are established and the response of different structures in the zones with the seismic intensity is studied using the nonlinear time-history analysis method.The detail of the research is as follows:(1)According to the characteristics of Web steel structure,the simplified building approach of model is provided.Then use the finite element analysis software ABAQUS6.13 to establish model of Web steel wall through experimental research date provided by the literature and solve the model.Finally,the calculated results and the test results are analyzed in contrast to verify the correct and rationality of the modeling method.(2)The different aspect ratio structure models with same number of the bay were established to carry on modal analysis and time history analysis.Then study the influence for the overall seismic performance of the structure and provide reasonable design proposal according to different seismic intensity region(3)The three floors structure models with different number of the bay were established to carry on modal analysis and nonlinear time history analysis.The calculation results were compared and analyzed,then summed up the effect of the overall seismic performance with different number of the bay.
