With the Vehicles increasing in recent years,not only they bring great convenience to people's life,but also contribute to the traffic accident happen frequently and increase the death rate.In order to guarantee the safety of the occupants,it is essential to research the new energy absorbing structures which has good properties and load-bearing characteristics.Most creatures which survival through natural selection have excellent structure and function,which provide idea to the researching of new energy absorption structure.Therefore,with good mechanical properties of saguaro cactus is chosen as the researching object in this paper and conduct multi-scale structural bionic design and crashworthiness research.Firstly,similarity,function and load of saguaro cactus are analyzed based on the structure,then this paper design the macro bionic structure.Through researching the crashworthiness of bionic structure's different angles number,it can be found that six angles of bionic structure gain the best crashworthiness.Then,the crashworthiness of bionic structure about different parameters is researched,founding six angles bionic structure still has excellent energy absorbing performance.Therefore,based on the six angle bionic structure,we explore the influence of degree,it can be concluded that 60 ° bionic structure has best crashworthiness.Based on it,by researching the radian of 60°bionic structure,founding that the radius R=6 gain the highest specific energy absorption.Secondly,in order to explore the effects of saguaro cactus' s micro structure on crashworthiness,further observation and analysis are carried out in this paper and bionic design structures of xylem,vascular bundle and parenchyma,respectively.Then the crashworthiness of bionic structures are researched,the result shows that the crashworthiness of micro bionic structure is far better than the macro bionic structure.Meanwhile,the conditions of different impact angle,velocity and multiple loads are employed for micro bionic structures,it is concluded: the SEA and PCF of structures are falling with the increasing of impact angle,SEA and PCF of structuresare increasing with the increasing of impact velocity,also the effects of impact angle on crashworthiness is larger than impact velocity.Besides,the bending performance of micro bionic structure is also researched,finding that its buckling capacity is 3.1times of circular tube.Through conducting the crashworthiness and bending analysis of bionic structures,results show that the micro bionic structure has good comprehensive collision resistance,therefore,it is applied to the design of bus body to improve the safety of bus roller.
