| With the rapid development of the global economy in recent years, large amounts of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas are consumed in the process of industrialization and urbanization.Greenhouse gas emissions are causing so serious greenhouse effects that more and more people begin to focus on the environment and countries have to developed initiatives to address global climate change. As an important method of greenhouse effect evaluation, carbon footprint has been rapid development both at industries and fields. The construction, which emissions large amount of greenhouse gases in the life cycle, has become another major source of greenhouse gas emissions following industry and transportation.Residential building as one of the important types of buildings, how to establish a standard to evaluate its greenhouse gas emissions of the life cycle is very important to seek some effective building carbon reduction measures to control the greenhouse gas emissions and improve the global climate.Responding to this situation, this research divides the resident building to five phases(Designing phase、Building materials preparation phase、Construction phase、Use phase and Dismantling phase)based on the life cycle of buildingso that we can knowthe source and impact of greenhouse gas emissions at all stages. Then we select the metric and stablishes an assessment model to evaluate the greenhouse gas emissions of residential building based on the basic framework of the life cycle. The research also calculates the carbon footprint factors in the life cycle of residential buildings and carrys out some detailed empirical analysis about the frame shear structure and brick structure residential building. The evaluation process provides a feasible way to evaluate the carbon footprint of residential buildings with various structural types and the evaluation results have a guiding significance to optimizing the plans about designing, building materials choosing, construction, energy using and dismantling. |
