Safety is an eternal theme in the field of railway transportation.With the continuous improvement of the train speed,the problem of train dynamics becomes more and more serious,how to evaluate and predict the safety of train operation is a key point of the present research.Based on the study of traditional safety evaluation criterion,a new safety evaluation index is put forward through the analysis of wheel rail geometric position and the traditional safety evaluation standard,and the simulation analysis verifies it.The dynamic model of a certain type of trailer is established by using multi-body dynamics software ?-Rail,the nonlinear characteristics of the suspension system and the geometric nonlinear characteristics of the wheel rail relationship are considered in the model,which contains 33 moving parts and 46 degrees of freedom.The model is verified by preload analysis and dynamic simulation.The relationship between wheel rail contact and vehicle safety is studied,and the possible relationship between the geometric position of wheel and rail and the safety of vehicle operation is analyzed,the dynamic simulation of the high speed EMU is carried out to simulate the process of climbing and jumping,and the relationship between the geometric position of wheel and rail and the safety of vehicle operation is analyzed.The results show that: in the analysis of wheel rail geometric relationship,the correlation between wheel rail lateral displacement and safety is the biggest,accordingly the wheel rail lateral displacement can be considered as one of the criteria for the safety evaluation of the train.
