Inland waterway and ports constitute the complete inland shipping system,jointly determine the operating efficiency of inland water transport.As the important navigation structure of inland river,ship lock plays an important role in improving channel conditions,preventing floods and drought and so on.However ship lock restricts the development of inland water transport seriously.In recent years,with the increase of ship lockage demands,ship lock jam becomes more and more serious,ship residence time and transportation cost increase sharply.Ship lock has already become the weak link of inland water transport.It is a very urgent issue to promote the ship lock capacity.Lock capacity can be improved by optimizing the scheduling strategies and arrangement methods to some extent.However,the ship type is very messy in our country,so it is limited to tap the lock capacity potentials through optimizing the scheduling strategies and arrangement methods.The Ministry of Transport has proposed the work of ship standardization.But there is no quantitative research on the effect of standard ships on traffic capacity until now.Based on the optimization of scheduling strategies,this paper conduct the quantitative research on the effect of standard ships on traffic capacity.Firstly,The world-wide academic researches on ship lock capacity is summarized.And the influence factor and evaluation index of ship lock capacity systematically based on the analysis of every element in the ship lock capacity calculation formula is analyzed.The ship standardization work of our country is introduced.Then the ship lock arrange model and the rapid arrange algorithm to calculate the model is analyzed.In order to give the priority to important ships,the concept of comprehensive weight which include the static weight and dynamic weight is introduced.Based on the research foundation that stated above,a ship arrange optimization model to maximum the chamber area utilization ratio is built.Based on the summary of ship passing process,the simulation model of ship lock operating system is built.The optimization model is embed into the simulation model to form the simulation and optimization model of ship lock operating system.Finally,the Three Groges is took for research objects,the effect of scheduling strategies on traffic capacity is analyzed by using the simulation and optimization model of ship lock operating system,and quantitative analysis is made to learn the effect of standard ship rate on traffic capacity of Three Gorges ship lock.It can provide a theoretical basis of ship-type standardization,traffic capacity and service quality improvement through the quantitative research on the effect of standard ships on traffic capacity.It can also provide a scientific support for decision makers to set goals and relevant policies.
