As a new technology,wireless power transmission is developing fast.Nowadays,theprinciple used in WPT is divided into three parts:Electromagnetic induction,electromagnetic resonance and electromagnetic radiation.The electromagnetic induction is mostly applied in the condition of short distance and low power.And the electromagnetic resonance is used in the condition of middle distance and middle power,also electromagnetic radiation is applied in the condition of long distance and high power.Among them,the electromagnetic resonance is the most normal way currently.However,the way of electromagnetic resonance is the most difficult one to achieve.This paper is mostly focusing on the research of the resonance coil used in transmitting system.This paper analyze the WPT system with relay coil and simulate it,based on electromagnetic resonance principle.Set up the transmitting model,get the power transmitting efficiency,transmitting power and efficiency with different conditions.Use MATLAB to analyze WPT system with or without relay coil and compare them;analyze the position of relay coil and get the best position of relay coil;analyze the model of multiple relay coils.The result shows that the electromagnetic resonance WPT with a relay coil has a better character in transmitting efficiency;compared with one relay coil,double relay coils system has more transmitting power and transmitting efficiency at the same parameters;triple relay coils system has a better character than double relay coils system at the same transmitting distance;the resist and Q of relay coil are critical factors in transmitting power and efficiency.With or without relay,the structure of relay coil and how to reduce the resist of relay coil are important issues,which decide on practical availability,the transmitting distance and power.As the resist of relay coil can effect the transmitting efficiency,this paper focuses on coil’s impedance.In order to reduce the power loss and increase the transmitting distance,it is supposed to reduce the resist and increase the inductance of the relay coil.This paper firstly designs PCB coil and copper coil,taking HFSS software to simulate them.The result shows that the resist of PCB coil is almost four times than copper coil and the inductance of copper coil is nearly as ten times as PCB coil.So this paper decides to adapt copper coil structure.Then increase the layer of copper coil to make the resist,Q and inductance be in a stable section.At last,use sweeper to test the copper coil and compare with simulation results,showing the impedance and Q of copper coil can satisfy the request of designing.
