In recent years, wireless power transmission(WPT) begins to be used in various fields of applications because of its unique advantages. With recent spread of new energy, especially expensive photovoltaic, it is significant for utilizing it safety, efficiently and flexibly by WPT.This paper researches on the combination of small distributed photovoltaic(PV) and WPT. Firstly, the present of research and application are introduced. Secondly, compare some modes of WPT, mainly contrast transmission power, transmission distance, transmission efficiency and transmission frequency among inductively coupled power transfer, coupled magnetic resonance and laser. Then summarize their main advantages and disadvantages, and according to the characteristic of small distributed PV, coupled magnetic resonance is selected. Next, analyze the transmission mechanism and set up mathematical models of coupled magnetic resonance WPT. Energy can be qualitative analyzed by the concept of resonance and coupled magnetic, system transmission characteristics can be quantitative analyzed by time-domain coupled-mode theory and frequency-domain electromagnetic induction theory. Then design some key model of the system through previous mathematical model and theoretical analysis, such as the geometric structure of the coil(plane spiral coil, copper tube, toroid coil and rectangular coil), coil radius, outer diameter of the conductive wire, material of wire and the turns of coil. Finally, accomplish the prototype design of PV WPT system, and demonstrate the feasibility of WPT in PV by experiments.This paper creatively combines the safe, efficient and flexible WPT with distributed PV, according to the characteristic of PV design a basic PV WPT system.There are some significance besides the convenience of the access of user. For theoretical significance, on the one hand, broaden a new energy application field of WPT and open a new path to research WPT theory. On other hand, gives a new direction for small distributed PV power transmission in safely, conveniently, reliably or efficiently. In engineering, PV WPT feasibly solves some key problems on PV power transmission. As social benefits, a safe, efficient and flexible PV WPT will attract a growing number of users to attempt. Consequently, promoting the popularization of distributed PV and conforming to national energy development strategy of distributed power.
