Building industry is one of the largest labor groups in the world,as well as the important pillar of national economy.As it is a labor-intensive and investment-huge industry,the construction safety problem becomes more and more serious,which has made a bad influence on the sustainable development of the construction industry and social stability.However,the level of construction safety in China is relatively low due to lack of scientific and effective management tool for a long period,which can be seen from following aspects: 1)The weakness of static structure-based analysis methods makes it difficult to meet the requirment of large and complex construction safety analysis for time-varying structure;2)It's workload-intensive and less-automated to put existing time-varying safety analysis methods into practice;3)The existing mode of quality management mainly depends on the sufficient cases,data and experience,with poor operability and accuracy to apply for the construction;4)Due to the numerous and complex influence factors,it's difficult to achieve the integratedconstruction management.In view of the current situation,information technology should be brought in for changing the backward situation fundamentally.For the purpose of automatic,integrated and dynamic construction analysis and management,based on the newly developments in Building Information Model(BIM)and 4D technology,the 4D Safety Information Model++(4DSIM++)is described and established for architecture design,structural analysis and construction management.Based on the 4DSIM++,the approach and mechanism are proposed to achieve the model conversion between architecture and structure model automatically and relative analysis among structure analysis models.Then the integrated technologies are discussed on architecture and structure model and different kinds of monitoring data dynamically,so as to generate the complete 4DSIM++.Based on this information model,the application workflow and a series of methods for dynamic safety analysis and management are detailded discussed.Finally,a BIM-based Safety Analysis and Management System(BIM-SAMS)for time-varying structure during construction is developed and the feasibility and effectiveness of the system are verified by real project application.This study has achieved the automatic,continuous and dynamic safety analysis and quality management for time-varying structure during construction,which proposes a new approach and platform for changing the backward situation in construction management.It is of great importance and applying prospect in improving the level of construction safety.
