Conservation And Development Of Dongguan Ancient Village

Traditional village is an important component of our historical and cultural heritage,which carries a lot of precious memory of our agricultural civilization.It has the traditional buildings,and the pattern of street lane space,and the regional custom culture as well as handwork technique,which has highly historical value and research significance.With the acceleration of the urbanization process and the modernization construction,a large number of valuable traditional villages face the fate of the disappearance and destruction.And,With the come of social transformation,the protection of traditional ancient village and handling the relationship between protection and development is of great significance.Dongguan has abundant traditional village resources.So far,Dongguan has 2 state-level historic and cultural villages and 6 Chinese traditional villages.Therefore,taking the planning practice of Nanshe village protection as an example,we conducted the research on the conservation planning of the traditional villages.This paper makes the scientific and comprehensive research on the related issue of the protection and development of traditional village,on the basis of the collecting and organizing the related data of traditional village.The paper is divided into five chapters: In the first chapter,the background,purpose and significance of the protection and development of the traditional village are expounded,as well as the object and scope of the research are defined.The second chapter expounds the related concepts of the paper,and combs the present research status of traditional villages at home and abroad to summarize and analyze the practical experience of the protection and development of traditional villages in China.The third chapter introduces the distribution and current situation of the traditional villages in Dongguan,also,analyzes the natural conditions they are based on and their characteristics.In the fourth chapter,taking the Nanshe Village in Dongguan as an example,the paper sets up the data base on Nanshe Village by collecting the detail and further documents and doing site survey.In the fifth chapter,from the perspective of protection,the paper discusses the protection plans and measures of the historical and cultural heritage in Nanshe,and the response ability and development strategy of Nanshe Village in the construction of new urbanization in Dongguan is explored from the view of development.Based on the systematic understanding of the traditional villages in Dongguan,this paper discusses the social adaptability of Nanshe Village and provides reference for the protection and development of it as well as other traditional villages in Dongguan.
