Guangzhou University City Energy Station used to use Ejector-Steam Extraction System to establish and hold a vacuum. In daily operation the steam extraction capacity of this system was getting less, the condenser vacuum set up time was getting long, what's more, steam extraction efficiency was low during normal operation, which had a great influences on the thermal efficiency of waste heat. When the temperature rose,in order to maintain the output capability of the Ejector-Steam Extraction System,a lot of water were needed to be replaced to reduce the working temperature of the water-jet pool,so it caused the environmental problems of water waste and sewage disposal,This has caused some trouble to the daily production work. After theoretical analysis,it is found that these problems have great influence on the overall thermal efficiency of the unit. After analyzing the process of vacuum forming and the actual situation of the condenser,we finally decided to transform the vacuum pumping equipment, and the decision was made that the Nash Cone-Two Stages Vacuum Pump was applied instead of the original Ejector-Steam Extraction System.Transformation has gone through several stages. On the basis of the original design, the cooling water flow rate, the working fluid supplement water source and the water source of the working fluid were changed. After the completion of the correction, the above issues were solved, besides, the engine hall spaces were optimized, the power and water consumption of the vacuum system were reduced, the running noise of vacuum system was decreased as well, all achieved the anticipated aim of the correction.
