With the rapid development of Chinese transportation industry,the number of bridges across the river and the sea are increasing,and the volume of ships is increasing too.Once ship collision accident occurs,it will cause serious casualties and property losses.In this context,people put forward the "Three structures are not damaged" collision principle.In order to meet this principle,more and more new anti-collision devices are being studied.This paper discusses a new type of bridge pier toroidal anti-collision box made by steel-polyurethane sandwich plate with curved surface.This box can make full use of the advantages of composite sandwich plates,such as lightweight,high strength,good impact resistance and corrosion resistance.The box can effectively absorb collision energy,and it can float with the water level.What's more,because of the box's curved surface and toroidal stucture,it can push out the ship during the collision,effectively protect the pier.This paper mainly focus on the dynamic collision performance of the bridge pier ribbed toroidal anti-collision box made by steel-polyurethane sandwich plate with curved surface during collision.The contents are as follow:1.This paper describes the present situation of the collision between ship and bridge,briefly introduces the present situation of research and application of bridge pier protection facilities and presents the research meaning of bridge pier ribbed toroidal anti-collision box made by steel-polyurethane sandwich plate with curved surface.2.This paper introduces the steel-polyurethane sandwich plate and the finite element numerical simulation software ANSYS/LS-DYNA.3.Taking the pier protection device used in Xiao Gang Bridge as the engineering background,this paper uses ANSYS/LS-DYNA software to establish the finite element model of ship bridge collision system.On the basis of the finite element model,this paper adjusts the number of horizontal stiffener and vertical stiffener in the anti-collision box and carries out dynamic analysis.As a result,the influence of the number of stiffeners on the collision performance of the box and the best stiffener configuration in the ? channel are obtained.4.This paper analyses the collision performance of the box with the best stiffener configuration at different collision locations.As a result,the damage condition of the ship and box,the collision force and collision energy distribution are obtained.The calculation result shows that while collision occurs,different number of horizontal stiffener and vertical stiffener in the box will have a significant influence on the collision performance of the box.The horizontal stiffener makes more obvious influence during collision than the vertical stiffener.When 5 horizontal stiffeners and 12 vertical stiffeners are arranged in the box,the box has the best collision performance,and it can effectively reduce the stress in the collision zone of the pier.What's more,the anti-collision box can effectively protect the ship,so that the damaged area of the ship is confined to the bow of the ship.
