In power system,the voltage level of the system is an important index of weighing the quality of electric energy,and the system reactive power balance is the basic conditions to ensure the system voltage level,so power system reactive power optimization became the a no one can bypass the peaks.Maoming area due to the low urbanization,many rural users,and rich hydropower resources in mountainous areas,small hydropower in 10 kV line internet accounts for about half of Maoming area's total hydropower capacity and small hydropower stations,the distribution is a cluster and watershed characteristics,small hydropower station position decided the grid structure in some of the lines must t access multiple small hydropower station.Such distribution lines in the hydropower development of the terminal voltage rise too high,connected to the end of the line users can not get qualified voltage.Without water and electricity net load area,and there is no power shortage,the problem of low voltage.Maoming distribution network load dispersion,power supply radius is long,line loss and voltage loss is serious.Must take effective measures to reduce Maoming distribution of electric energy loss,lower equipped with electric transportation cost,improve the matched electrical efficiency,for Maoming region of the user to provide safe,high quality,economic power service.According to the hierarchical classification of reactive power control,the local compensation principle,the reactive power control of the distribution network is mainly rely on the parallel capacitor and shunt reactor on the 10 kV bus.This paper is around the above two kinds of Maoming area is the most popular of reactive power compensation equipment configuration,control mode,main research on parallel capacitor,shunt reactor in the substation of the number,capacity,installation position and switching conditions,so that it can be to maximize the advantages of Maoming distribution network reactive power.
