In pace with the booming competition of the aviation industry,route network and resource optimization has become an effective means to improve the competitiveness of the airline,and fleet assignment is one of the key methods to route network resource optimization.Fleet assignment,which is,airline determine right type of aircraft to kind of regular flights so as to minimize the total cost or maximum total profit under the premise of known flight schedule,flight passenger demand,fleet and the cost of each type of aircraft in different flight routes.Because the passenger demand is an important factor for the fleet assignment,so how to according to the dynamic market demand to adjust the capacity becoming an challenging work of airline;in addition,due to the extensive management of airline,fleet overcapacity become a serious problem.The scientific and reasonable fleet assignment can effectively improve the efficiency of aircraft.The main contents of this paper include:First of all,by analyzing the optimization process of model allocation,it is concluded that the accuracy of airline passenger demand forecast will directly affect the airline’s effectiveness.Predicting the flight passenger demand on the basis of historical data,the basic process is: according to the connection between the City-to-City network and the Hub-and-Spoke route network,the average daily passenger demand of the hub and spoke network is forecasted in the progressive form the daily traffic volume between cities.Predicting the flight passenger demand obtained as the basis data for the fleet assignment model based on the actual data of Xiamen airlines.Then,propsing the fleet assignment model based on the time-space network.On the basis of the three basic constraints(i.e.,the aircraft flight covering balance,fleet size),adding others constraints which are daily utilization efficiency of aircraft,the stopover flight and the number of seats are restrained.Based on the forecasted passenger demand of flights,Experiments have proved that the model improves the passenger occupancy rate of airlines.Finally,aiming at the problem of excess capacity,Considering using minimum number of aircraft,propose the multi-objective optimization for fleet assignment model,Which means that using the maximization of profit and the least number of aircraft as optimizational targets.The complicated multi-objective solving model can bring bias target solving.In order to void that problem,using the NSGA-II algorithm to solve the multi-objective problem.Experiments have proved that the model is of great significance to improve the utilization of aircraft,reduce operating costs,and improve the economic efficiency of airlines.
