With the country's emphasis on energy-saving emission reduction work,building energy efficiency standards have gradually increased.As an important part of building energy efficiency work,building thermal insulation system on walls can effectively improve building insulation performance in the cold areas and for Urumqi building energy conservation work,it is of great significance.But with the implementation of Urumqi building energy efficiency 75% standards and new fire safety standards,whether the traditional approach can meet the existing standards requires verification;by analyzing the problems in external thermal insulation system on walls,the paper aims to find out external thermal insulation system on walls suitable for Urumqi at this stage.This paper conducts the research mainly from the following aspects and obtains the following conclusions.1.Sum up the overall requirements for external thermal insulation system on walls at this stage,analyze the aspects needing consideration and explore them.2.Sum up the systems and materials of existing external thermal insulation system on walls,and conclude its main performance indicators and advantages and disadvantages and market prices of insulation materials in the Urumqi building materials market and compare the prices.3.By calculating the wind load,the conclusion can be drawn that connection safety of pasting the insulation board system can meet the operating requirement and safe and reliable with the standardized construction and qualified materials.Through the analysis of existing external thermal insulation system on walls shedding and other cases,it can be concluded that connection security of expanded polystyrene board(EPS board)and that of extruded polystyrene board(XPS board)are relatively easy to control.4.Through the analysis of the fire safety of the insulation material and that of the insulation system,it can be concluded that the perfection of fireproofing construction measures of the external thermal insulation system on walls can be used to improve the fire safety performance of the thermal insulation system with thermal insulationmaterial of poor combustion performance grade.5.EPS board thin plaster external thermal insulation system and XPS board thin plaster external thermal insulation system at this stage are cost-effective,the connection safety is easy to control and meanwhile more secure and reliable,fire safety can be improved and basically meet the existing standards,and they are relatively more suitable for residential buildings in Urumqi.
