China's highway construction has made rapid development in the past three decades. In the existing highway high-grade road and highway, asphalt pavement accounts for about 80%.In general, the average service life of asphalt pavement is 12 to 15 years, most of the high-grade highway built in early stage needs maintenance and will produce a large number of asphalt road materials every year. Huge cost will be spent and enormous waste of resources will be produced if all of these materials are treated as garbage. At present, China's asphalt pavement materials recycling research is still in its infancy, complete policy system has not been established and technical means are not very mature. Thus, it is very necessary to conduct recycling of asphalt pavement waste recycling research.In this paper, firstly, aiming at four kinds of common asphalt pavement material regeneration technology, the applicable conditions, advantages and disadvantages of each kind of regeneration means are summarized, the technical feasibility of recycling asphalt pavement waste is discussed in detail. Then the comprehensive benefits of four kinds of recycling and utilization of asphalt pavement materials are compared and analyzed from the perspective of social, environmental and economic benefits, and the regenerative technologies are compared and analyzed by using the linear weighted sum method which is one multi-objective decision-making method. Regeneration and utilization of asphalt pavement material can not only save a large amount of coarse aggregate, asphalt and other raw materials,reduce engineering cost, also has significant influence in energy saving and emission reduction, so the recycling technology of asphalt pavement material has significant comprehensive benefits. At last, the present situation, existing problems and the obstacles of the recycling of asphalt road waste in our country are analyzed, and the solution suggestions are given, which can provide reference for the recycling of asphalt pavement materials.
