For the water supply industry,the loss of water supply pipe network is a longstanding problem,which brings huge economic losses and waste of water resources to water supply business.It is of great engineering significance to study how to locate the leakage area quickly and efficiently and calculate the amount of leakage.In this paper,the problem of leakage location and loss of water distribution system is studied.In this study,the mathematical model of pipeline network leakage location is established by using the dynamic monitoring information of water distribution system,then the intelligent optimization algorithm is used to solve and locate the leakage area.According to the research ideas,the methods of obtaining dynamic monitoring information for the water distribution system should be determined first.The dynamic monitoring information of the water supply pipe network includes the pressure information and the flow information,and the validity and representation of the monitoring information depends on the scientific nature of the monitoring point arrangement method and the strategic position of the layout.Therefore,this study first determines the method of optimizing the layout of the water distribution system monitoring points.For the status quo of urban water distribution system in China,a method of optimizing the layout of pressure monitoring points is established by fuzzy clustering analysis method.The method of optimizing the layout of pressure monitoring points can be added and optimized the pressure monitoring points on the basis of keeping the original pressure monitoring points,to make full use of existing resources and avoid waste.At the same time,a method of optimizing the flow monitoring points is established by using the influence degree analysis method.Based on the traditional influence degree analysis method,the parameter of the contribution coefficient of the pipe leakage is introduced,which makes the calculation result of pipe section influence more realistic,so that the flow monitoring point can better monitor the health of the pipe network.Based on the optimization layout of the pressure monitoring point and the flow monitoring point,the mathematical model of the leakage system of the water distribution system is established by using the pressure and flow monitoring data,and the new intelligent optimization algorithm(firefly algorithm)is used to locate the leakage area.Using the example to verify the effectiveness of the method,it is proved that it is feasible and reliable to use the firefly algorithm to solve the mathematical model of the pipe network leakage location that applies the dynamic monitoring information of the water distribution system.The method has a greater probability(more than 60%)to locate the leakage point position accurately,which is worth practicing in practice.In order to help people to quickly determine the leakage location in the engineering practice,with the computer simulation method,the change of water pressure and water flow reversal situation is studied when the pipeline leakage happens.The rules of the change of water pressure and guiding rules of the water flow reversal of the pipeline is obtained.The rules can provide guidance for locating leakage,reduce the range of possible leakage locations,and helping people to accumulate experiences in finding the leakage in practice.The monitoring point optimization methods established in this study can guide the layout of the monitoring points in the engineering practice,so as to provide the comprehensive dynamic parameters of the pipeline network.The pipeline network leakage location model established with the monitoring information that adopted firefly algorithm can be used to determine the location and calculate water leakage,which is very important to solve the water leakage location problem of pipeline engineering.
