Recently, the low-grade wharfs have been clearly unable to adapt the current needs of berthing larger grade ships, with increasing number of self-propulsion ships and ultra-sized ships. It is significant to reform and recalculate the capacity of old wharfs, and the study of pile-soil interaction and ship impact is of great concern. In order to meet the increasing berthing requirements, the pile of wharfs has been developing towards the direction of multi-pile,larger diameter pile and long pile. The method of calculating the pile-soil interaction is from the method based on Winkler model to the elastic theory method, and then the finite element method using finite element software. Many experts and scholars have brought out their own opinions to serve the theory of pile-soil interaction in practical projects. It needs to consider the interaction effects of various factors when ships berth in warlf. In accordance with the current standard of design,we usually use the breasting force, the mooring force and the percussive force to express the effect of ship berthing. This effect is usually performed in a static loading method. But in the actual application, the percussive force increases continuously because ships have become larger and larger. Therefore, the static loading which neglects the interaction between ship and wharf needs to be improved. This article will study the following aspects:1.On the basis of a test scheme of the bearing capacity of wharf pile-bent,a pilesoil coupling model was established by using the WORKBENCH platform in software ANSYS and an element finite simulation was performed. The computation results of horizontal bearing capacity for wharf pile-bent were relatively coincident with the existing experiments, thus verifying the feasibility of using the WORKBENCH to simulate the bearing capacity of wharf pile-bents which the pile-soil coupling is taken into consideration in calculation.2.In order to study the wind-resisting capacity of pile-supported wharf under severe typhoon weather when a new 300 000 dwt oil tanker berths, the APDL platform and the WORKBENCH platform in the software ANSYS were used to establish the three-dimensional finite element solid models by the two different soil models. The wind-resisting capacity of the identical pile-supported wharf structure was calculated. The results of wind-resisting capacity of wharf structure under various working conditions were obtained by the two models. The influence of the different soil models on the wind-resisting capacity of pile-supported wharf was compared, thus providing a reference basis for the checking of wind-resisting capacity of existing pile-supported wharfs when berthing large ships.3.In the study of the dynamic ship impact of wharf, the first calculation was the bearing capacity of wharf under the static force. And then static force was transformed into the dynamic impact force, focusing the bearing capacity of the wharf on different speeds under the ship impact.Through the force analysis of various componets in wharf, the weakness of wharf structure was found, which can provide a guidance for the reinforcement of the actual wharf structure.
