Greenway has great ecological and environmental value;ecological service is one of the basic functions of greenway.In recent years,the construction of Pearl River Delta(PRD)greenway has developed rapidly,but study on its ecological service is still lacking.Taking PRD greenway line one,line two and line three as the research object,this paper makes a quantitative study of the current status of the ecological service value of PRD greenway.Also,in this paper the main features of the ecological service of PRD greenway are summarized.This paper studies the current status of the ecological service of PRD greenway,mainly including:1)Through satellite image vectorization,data statistics and numerical calculation,six ecological services(climate regulation,carbon fixation and oxygen release,soil conservation,water conservation,environmental purification and noise control)of PRD greenway has been evaluated.The results show that total ecosystem service value of PRD greenway Line No.1,2&3 is 11.585 billion yuan per year,of which climate regulation value is 4.431 billion yuan per year,carbon fixation and oxygen release value is 6.628 billion yuan per year,soil conservation value is 0.276 billion yuan per year,water conservation value is 0.158 billion yuan per year,environmental purification value is 0.072 billion yuan per year,noise control value is 0.02 billion yuan per year.2)In this paper,the composition and spatial distribution of the ecological service of PRD greenway are analyzed.Also,the ecological service value of different greenway lines and city sections has been comprehensively analyzed and compared from perspectives like spatial distribution of services’ value,building density,ecosystem structure and so on.The results show that spatial distribution of service value of climate regulation,carbon fixation and oxygen release,water conservation,environmental purification and noise control is uneven.In contrast,spatial distribution of service value of soil conservation is much more even.Average building density of all three lines is higher than the requirement in the official planning outline.The differences of building density in greenway sections have also changed their landscape forms.Ecosystem structure of different types of greenways is also a reflection of their functional characteristics.3)Based on the results of above researches,this study proposes optimization strategies to improve the ecosystem service value of PRD greenway.This paper evaluates the ecological service of PRD greenway from a regional scale.This study is a preliminary attempt of relevant researches in China.Through this study,the approximate value and main features of ecological service of PRD greenway is obtained.This study enriches the contents of researches on ecosystem service of greenway and lays a foundation for future researches. |
