As an important part of WR-CVT,the wire rope ring's elastic properties and influencing factors of wear is studied based on the actual operating condition of CVT through the relevant principles of Elastic Mechanics,Friction and Wear,Finite Element Method.The research is supported by National Natural Science Foundation Item(Grant No:51505373).The study of this paper could provide fundamental basis for the research of failure mechanism and fatigue life of the WR-CVT wire rope ring.The main research contents are as follows:The geometry and main transmission parameters is confirmed based on composition and working principle of the WR-CVT,and the axial misalignment of Metal-belt ring and wire rope ring is studied on the equal conditions;The force analysis of the WR-CVT wire rope ring is done,and the geometric model of closed wire rope ring is established based on the geometric model of curved wire rope and the adjustment of its parameters;The finite element analysis of the stepless speed variator wire rope ring is done based on ABAQUS,the distribution principles of stress and deformation of steel wire on WR-CVT wire rope under discontinuous contact condition is studied;The calculation method of the wear point of wire rope ring and the radial contact force between steel wire is given based on its external wear and internal wear,The influencing factors of wear on WR-CVT wire rope ring are revealed academically.
