Since the 1980 s,Japanese scholars have begun to have a field investigation to the stilt house,domestic scholars also began to have a study of drum tower as individual building,subject involves the artistry,the evolution,culture and so on.Until 1990 s,by means of surveying and mapping carried a more scientific research,to the 21 st century,had an overall study on the drum tower,at this moment,the structure research is taken seriously by scholars.Ancient drum tower as similar to the high-rise building of the tower,has a ability to resistance to lateral force,although many scholars have carried on research from the construction technology,architecture typology to structures since the 21 st century,there are few research analyzes the cross force resistant mechanism of ductile structure.This study firstly summarizes the carpentry work with a cross force resistant mechanism from China,Japan and Korean Peninsula,concludes the Tuned Mass Damper model,with drum tower structure system in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County to support it.Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County has the largest population in the five Dong autonomous county,also has the highest percentage of the Dong population,the Dong culture is also the most strong,the number of total of drum tower more than 210,has a rich research resources,besides,the types of drum tower covers other Dong area,so the study of drum tower in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County has universal value.Through the field investigation,from the distribution,classification,wooden construction,construction tools and process aspects,systematically research of the drum tower building technology,help to inherit and develop the drum culture and art of Dong.Using surveying and mapping and the Sketch up,to generate drum tower models,based on the Tuned Mass Damper,to interpret the drum ability to resist cross force,at the same time,also can better understand the Tuned Mass Damper in drum tower,the results applied to the modern high-rise building of seismic and wind resistance design.In-depth analysis of the drum tower ductile structure of Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County,come to the conclusion as follows:(1)A shelf has a set of system method in the process from design to erect,drum tower building technology has been beyond the category of technology,has penetrated into cultural and art fields.(2)The ductile structure of drum tower has good effect on the resistance to lateral force,which confirms the Tuned Mass Damper model,namely each drum tower has at least two mass dampers and the ductile nodes.(3)The Tuned Mass Damper of drum tower has experienced four stages,the stilt house type(the center column of drum tower),the column base type(the “hui” type drum tower),the column base type(the “hui” type drum tower)and the column base-hanging pillar type(the “hui” type drum tower).The type of existing drum towers has the column base type and the hanging pillar type.The column base type including the type one and type two,the column base-hanging pillar type including the type one and type two.(4)Predicting development direction of the ductile structure in drum tower : absorbing the advantages of the column base type,the hanging pillar type becomes main stream,constantly improving the structure stiffness of mass dampers,at the same time,makes the quality between mass dampers tend to be equal,advance the ability of the ductile nodes to cope with the lateral force.
