| Currently. Tuned Mass Damper is one of the most widely used passive suspension system. Due to the advantages such as outstanding quality of the tuning system damping effect, less space usage, and easy to install and maintain, Tuned Mass Damper still has a vast potential for future development of tall structure, high-rise structure, vibration of the bridge, and the wind vibration control.Tuned Mass Damper is a kind of additional structure which is composed of spring, damper and mass. The mass usually supported or hung in the main structure by spring and damper. When the main structure vibrating by the influence of under external load, additional structure vibrating at the same time through connecting device. The resulting energy will react upon the main structure by inertial force or be consumed by the damper, as a result the shock will be absorbed.This project adopts a12frame structure as the background and use the finite element analysis software Sap2000as the structure model. Firstly, the dynamic characteristics such as the first12order vibration mode, vibration period, and frequency will be worked out through the modal analysis. Secondly, use the time history analysis to get the response of the main structure by the effect of three sets of seismic wave excitation without shock absorbing device. Thirdly, figure out the maximum displacement of the structure of each layer. And then, the establishment of a theoretical calculation model of tuned mass damper, analysis of shock absorption principle of substructure, the formulas of the displacement theory, analysis of mass ratio and damping ratio factor which has great influence on the displacement of main structure, choosing the best tuned mass damper system in software simulation method, comparing the different parameters respectively such as mass ratio, damping ratio in the reasonable scope will be work out. At last, we prove the damping effect by the smaller displacement ratio.The results show that, the selection of reasonable parameters, especially the damping ratio, can effectively reduce the horizontal seismic effects on the main structure. In order to achieve the best damping effect, this project use water tank as a tuned mass form which can not only reduces the additional mass load, but also flexibly control mass parameter by adjusting the water injection rate. |
