Intelligent construction of hydropower plant is developing rapidly under the unified deployment of China State Grid Corp on smart grid. As an application example of industrial measurement and control network, the intelligent hydropower station has realized its unified management of information in accordance with the basic requirements of information intellectualization, networking of communication platform, and standardization of information sharing. This topic, which takes Sichuan Shua nghe teaching and research plant as the application object, designs a set of intelligent monitoring system that is suitable for the hydropower station, and achieves a seamless connection with gateway through designing the wireless communication devices, to avoid long construction period, high cost, poor maintainability and expansibility for presently used hydraulic automatic cable monitoring system.Taken functional switch board and RF Module as carrier, collection instrument and sensor of Hydropower Statio n as tool, the industrial wireless telecommunication device designed in this project will transmit all sorts of dispersing signals to the gateway to realize its seamless connection through the low-cost and privatized wireless sensor network communication protocol stack designed in labor. On the other hand, gateway and upper computer send messages through Ethernet. Finally operators can monitor the running state of the Hydropower Station by only watching the screen of upper computer.The development and implementation of hardware, using sub- module design ideas of RF circuit and signal processing, power supply circuit. Firstly, binding requirements of hydropower wireless monitoring system communication scheme and key technologies of circuit design, and complete circuit design, PCB making and RF performance testing and certification of RF Module. Secondly, this project designed four kinds of functional switch board to improve the compatibility of signal interface because of large numbers of collection instruments,sensors and totally different signal interfaces in Hydropower Station.Then comes to the design of software, this topic mainly focuses on RF driver, microcontroller driver and four kinds of industrial signal acquisition program design process.The designed hardware are tested and verified with relevant standards after designing. The result shows that when the frequency band of RH Module at 470 MHz, the maximum transmitting power reaches +20dBm. And other RF performance indicators complies with project requirements. At the same time, when PH Module at power-off state, power dissipation is lower at 0.065 mW which is suit for the situation where devices need to operation at low dissipation. After tested under low temperature and electromagnetic radiation interference, the result shows that this device can run well at the temperature of-20~60? and electromagnetic radiation interference between 80 MHz and 1000 MHz, which proves that the wireless telecommunication device designed in this project possess well restric tion from low or high temperature and electromagnetic radiation interference. This device has already run about 12960 hours till the completion of this paper after applying it to Hydropower Station in industry site.In conclusion, with theoretical research, this telecommunication device meets the unmanned-project objectives of Shuanghe Hydropower high voltage switch room and other areas. And provides some reference value for researching and developing hardware platform of Hydropower Station Intelligent monitoring system after testing and applying it in industry site at the basis of designing.
