In recent years, with the rapid expansion of cities and the sharp change of the climate, the rainstorm events occur frequently in various places, and heavy rain events lead to different degrees of the waterlogging phenomenon in cities.A great deal of surface runoff that accumulated in cities cause the traffic jam,and seriously influence citizens’ production and life.In order to deal with the problems of city waterlogging and black smelly water,China puts forward the strategy of developing the Sponge City, which aims to changing the condition of cities’ underlying surface, increasing the infiltration capacity of earth’s surface, and taking the sustainable stormwater measures to alleviate the city waterlogging and reduce surface runoff pollution,so as to use the rainwater resources. The large area of hard ground in cities lead to the limited green space and vegetation, and accelerating the runoff convergence,so the waterlogging is easily formed. While the polluted rainwater that discharged into urban rivers through the urban rainwater pipe network causes the pollution of urban rivers. The problems of the city waterlogging, water pollution, and water shortage have become the most three acutest water problems which restrict the development of cities. The sustainable stormwater management measures can infiltrate, purify and reuse rainwater resources by the treatment of the source of water, water resources transmission and centralized processing, according to the original runoff characteristics of urban underlying surface. It also promotes the urban safety and ecological construction positively. The collaborative optimization construction of green space and urban rainwater pipe network could be extensively applicated and it is strongly constructive. This essay studies the relationship and optimization methods between various elements in the design of the urban green space and the rainwater pipe network, and puts forward the index system for the evaluation of the upgrade of urban green space and the rainwater pipe network, according to the existing research about the ecological city, stormwater management, engineering construction and ecological landscape. The index system could provide suggestions according to the reasonable classification and comprehensive evaluation of the quantity and the nature. It is considered to be strongly practical because that the content and result of the study could be applied in the relevant engineering design. This thesis is mainly divided into four parts:first, summarize the relevant elements of the optimization design, according to the literature review and reform examples in both of China and foreign countries;second, build the sustainable stormwater index system for the collaborative upgrade of the urban green space and rainwater pipe network in the sustainable stormwater management,by the method of literature reading, consulting authorities and mathematical statistics;third, use the manner of authority decision, which is that determine the weights of the various indicators by the software Yaahp and then analyze every secondary indicators;and, fourth, apply the index system to Tengfei Avenue area in Chengdu, and compare the three proposals then puts forward the suggestions for the optimizing design. In this study, the evaluation index system for the collaborative upgrade of urban green space and rainwater pipe network could effectively appraise the relevant construction projects, and then provides scientific and exhaustive suggestions for the improvement. In addition,it could also be applied to the completed projects which is effectively viable and operable.
