Die-cast copper rotor technology is an effective way for high efficiency asynchronous motor industry compare with conventional die-cast aluminum method.This is why more and more high efficiency electric machine researchers pay attentions on this region.This paper focus on die-cast copper rotor asynchronous motor design and optimization included electromagnetic and thermal.Totally,all work divided into five parts.At first part,collected domestic and national die-cast copper motor relate research information and papers,analysis asynchronous motor temperature calculation and simulation technologies.At the second part,discussed low phase harmonic winding use advantages on copper rotor asynchronous,compared different rotor materials motor performance and get a preliminary design result.Then carry out different rotor slot type and their relate dimensions analysis,found out a way to improve die-cast copper motor weak start disadvantage,like low start torque and high start current.Because asynchronous motor performance is so sensitive to motor temperature,especially motor efficiency coupling with stator and rotor copper winding resistance.So summarized space equivalent thermal circuit method model and mathematic equations for calculate motor temperature and optimize motor cooling ability.Base on equivalent thermal circuit theory and motor-CAD software.Optimized copper motor housing fins number and dimensions.At the same time,analyzed sensitivity of stator and rotor copper winding temperature influenced by rotor end cooling fan number.After all of these works,processed a three phase asynchronous motor prototype and finished test.The test result validated all analysis logic and the motor efficiency can fulfill IE3 high efficiency motor standard.
