“Cultural Powerful Nation” strategy was proposed,cultural creation industry rise rapidly and the sign of the “Museum Ordinance”,all these facts provided new chances for the development of museum souvenir.Cultural connotation varies from place to place,it inherited the unique history resources of the specific region.That was the blessed reginal advantages for the innovation design and production for domestic museum souvenir.However,currently,the design and production still in the primary stage,the first priority was to find out practical solutions about how to combine this advantages with real world according to the public requirements,build a souvenir shop which can bring out the desire to “bring the museum home”.As a result,the innovation design and production became the issue attracted most attention nowadays.This article discuss the basic concept and function of museum and souvenir and point out the problems of monotony,identical,low development level and unreasonable price in the current museum souvenir industry through comparing with western countries.The NanJing Museum was selected as the research object.After a series on-site investigation and relevant survey,the analysis were given out to illustrate current situation and problems of the NanJing museum souvenir innovation,conclude that the innovation need localization,emotionalization,comberallzation,and combination of practicability and culturality.The result emphasis the importance and influence of museum souvenir R&D for the domestic cultural industry.Further more,the research positioned the NanJing museum souvenir clearly,and raised the theoretical basis and practical methods of innovation design for all the major museum around the nation.This provided some references and advices which could promote development of cultural industry and “Cultural Powerful Nation” strategy.
