To guarantee the working life,quenching process must be added into the productive process of the ferrule of a slewing bearing.However,the slewing bearing ferrule which is quenched cannot be in normal use due to the change of the gear common normal,thus scrapping machine parts.Therefore,a new reshaping equipment for the ferrule of a slewing bearing is developed,where PLC is used to control the hydraulic system to reshape the ferrule of a slewing bearing.The developed system has the merits of high positioning accuracy,high automation and high safety performance,and can meet the requirements of practical manufacturing.The main contents of the paper are recognized as follows.Firstly,according to the effectiveness of the reshaping equipment,the mechanical structure design proposal is confirmed.The proposed equipment is composed of a slewing bearing locating mechanism,a ferrule rotating mechanism,a electrical vortex sensor locating mechanism,a sliding frame locating mechanism and a power-assist cylinder mechanism.The 3D model of the equipment is built by Solidworks.And a hydraulic system diagram is designed by considering the reshaping automatically.Secondly,In order to optimize the frame design proposal,the ANSYS Workbench software is applied to analyze the strength and deformation of the frame.Modal analysis is conducted to verify that the designed frame can meet the vibration characteristics.The PLC analog module is applied in A/D transformation for signals transmitted by the electrical vortex sensor.The point where the largest deformation can be found in the ferrule diameter can be determined by the digital magnitude.Based on the mechanical structure of the whole system and working condition of the hydraulic system,I/O is designed for the control system and the hardware of the control system is selected.Finally,the hardware circuit diagram is drawn and the corresponding software programs are written to guarantee the locating accuracy of each parts.
