The Research Of Construction Mode And Development Of Quadrangle In North China

Quadrangle is a Chinese traditional building model which has a long history.According to the existing document,quadrangle has existed about three thousand years ago.Since Beijing was built as capital in Yuan Dynasty,with the large scale of urban construction,several construction forms appeared which are palace,block,hutong as well as quadrangle.Quadrangle is a fundamental housing pattern which satisfied the living habits for the people who live in the north of china.After development in two hundred years during Ming and Qing Dynasty,the construction pattern of quadrangle has been improved and become what we have seen right now.Beijing Quadrangle is representative of quadrangle in north of china.It play an important role in the history of how quadrangle developed and contain verity of culture with history.In this dissertation,the author intend to conduct a research on the model of Quadrangle based on the variation of people's life in modern society.Thus,by researching the architecture aesthetic perception of Quadrangle,a discussion of the developing direction will be given.The study will conduct from different aspects,such as,the form of Quadrangle,history,environment,etc.,to argue the trend and inheritance of Quadrangle on this basis of the evolution and transformation.With the development of city,old quadrangle is hard to satisfy the demand of people.The reform of quadrangle is a problem to architect of now days.How to inherit and develop the culture of quadrangle is becoming a topic of general interest.
