Since the reform and opening up, industrial development has shown a rapid development trend. In the field of packaging production, the development of powder packaging is becoming more and more mature. However, there are still many problems in traditional powder packaging machinery, such as powder entrained air, dust pollution, high cost, low production efficiency as so on. Now, it has been unable to meet the packaging needs of new era under the situation of implementing environment law and realizing mechanical automation and intelligent. The paper mainly studied the dense transport of powder materials during the process of powder filling and packaging. The methods of powder densification were raised.The structural and process parameters of the densification device were calculation at the same time. And then the process of powder densification was simulated by using discrete element software. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1) The production status, mechanization degree and the existing problems were analyzed in the industry production line of the powder packaging which determined the necessity of the research. The research status of powder filling equipment and related fields were discussed. And the concept and basic characteristics of powder were introduced to , the reason and the influence of the powder entrained gas were also discussed .(2) The main structure parameter of powder spiral dense conveyor was designed. It was proposed combination of screw-type screw tight transport method which combining with the common packaging production requirements and spiral conveying powder theory about screw design parameters, dense proportion.(3) Main Structure of powder packaging machine was analyzed. The strength and stiffness of the conveyor screw was calculated. The static and dynamic analysis of the conveying screw of the powder packing machine and the pre-stressing mode analysis were carried out by using ANSYS. The stress and strain distribution and the natural frequency and mode were obtained and analyzed to examine the rationality of the screw's main parameters(4) Powder dense transportation had been simulated. The discrete element method was introduced into the study of the dense conveying device and process of the powder packaging machine, so that the powder particles were visualized in the movement state and the conveying trajectory in the powder packaging machine. The mass flow rate of the powder was analyzed when the screw speed was 90rpm, 100rpm, 110rpm and 120rpm, respectively which provided guidance for parameter optimization of dense screw. The change of the powder velocity at the area of the feed section, the dense section, the exhaust section and the blanking section of the dense conveying screw were analyzed which made the powder dense with the combining pitch. After the simulated powder filling into the packaging container, the vibration density process of the powder was analyzed under different vibration amplitude and frequency.
