EPC general contract model has outstanding advantages in quality, progress, cost and contract management,it makes design, procurement and construction cross deeply,so it is gradually applied to the field of construction projects in china.Under EPC general contract model, the general contractor's contract rights can be strengthened, which can get high profits, but at the same time,it faces enormous risks. Therefore, the risk management is very important. At present, the research of risk management mainly stays in the qualitative stage, and there is no very perfect or universally applicable methodsin risk analysis and evaluation. The Analytic Hierarchy Process is a kind of multi objective comprehensive evaluation method combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. This paper aims at the drawbacks of the establishment of judgment matrix and consistent test in Analytic Hierarchy Process, improves some parts of process, introduces compound method which bases on combination of Delphi method and mean judgment matrix to construct judgment matrix, and introduces the exponential scaling to improve judgment matrix consistency test. This paper takes the risk of EPC project as the research object in view of the general contractor, summarizes the current situation and development of risk management in the general mode, describes the concept and characteristics of EPC model and the basic theory of risk management, useexpert survey method and risk list method to identify risk factors of contractors, constructs index system, and establishes a risk evaluation mode which use improved Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to determine the influence of risk.
