Maglev train, which is suspended and guided via electromagnetic force and driven by linear motor, shows advantages in indirect mechanical contact, thus overcoming malpractices in traditional wheel train and making it comfortable, fast, environmental friendly and safe. As one of the core technologies of maglev train, it’ s essential to monitor and diagnose the fault of the system to ensure smooth running. In this paper, on the basis of traditional configuration software, the characteristics and requirements of the suspension monitoring system are considered to develop the corresponding configuration software, and the suspension monitoring system is realized by the configuration software.Firstly, aimed at low-speed maglev train, based on the introduction of a suspension system, the status information and performance requirements are determined, and the functional structure of suspension monitoring system is established.Secondly, by advantages comparison, the diagnosis method of data fusion is selected to diagnose the suspension system. Data fusion fault diagnosis level can be divided into three levels, namely, data level, feature level and decision level. Generalized regression neural network and D-S evidence theory are introduced, which are applied in feature level fusion and feature level fusion separately.Thirdly, based on the platform of VS 2013 and using C# as the development language,the configuration software is developed. It can achieve graphic configuration via using WPF technology, as well as attribute and event managements, databases provided by ADO.NET and support for a wide variety of databases is implemented in an interface oriented manner. Case study for CAN communication of the suspension system is taken as an example to introduce the development of equipment communication.Finally, functions of each configuration part are tested to prove its convenience and usability. By using configuration software, the usability is further verified. Then, the fault simulation is carried out, and the feasibility of fault diagnosis function of the suspension monitoring system is tested.
