In China, the traditional water heating radiator is important heating equipment of northern cities' families because of good heat transfer and cooling characteristics. With the development of modern technology and people's living standards continue to increase, the traditional heating radiator haven't met the diverse needs of people. People can't control traditional radiator by themselves and there isn't the heating supply before and after heating,that have become the main problems in the process of using heating radiator. In terms of user needs ,this paper discuss the solution to the problem of heating in winter, and design a intelligent radiator with functional integration from the industrial design aspects.The paper states the background and significance of project research, and base on the development of heating radiators at home and abroad, the market demand of the new heating equipment is deduced by analyzing the existing heating radiators in the market.Through the analysis of the radiator consumers, user heating needs in winter are discovered.From the heating radiator heating mode, the heating principle of the water radiator and electric heating are analyzed; the integration of electric heating as the key point of on-demand heating provides a direction for experiment and design of intelligent heating equipment. The feasibility and security of the integration of electric heating and traditional water heating are researched through the experiment of temperature measurement of radiator. The experiment of comparing the electric consumption of water radiator and electric heating is carried out, and the economy of intelligent radiator is verified.The concept, structure, function, shape and color of the intelligent heating radiator are designed through the combination of industrial design theory and design principle. The key elements of product design are deduced by mind map as brainstorm tool. According to the drawing, determining the final design of the radiator. In the process of modeling with Rhino,the traditional modeling method is optimized, and the method of simplifying surface modeling is put forward. The method is used to build the model, and the feasibility of the method is verified by the smoothness analysis. After Keyshot software rendering, the final product model is designed.Based on the traditional heating radiator, the paper designs the intelligent heating equipment, prolongs the heating time, satisfies the user's individualized control demand,reduces the heating cost of the user at the same time, raises its competitive power in the market, and provides a new idea for heating radiator design.
