The connector is an indispensable part of electronic equipment, and its function is very simple: the connector can help build a bridge of communication where the circuit is blocked or between the isolation circuit, so that the current circulation, and make the circuit can realize the function of reservation. It is very important to improve the performance and reliability of the whole system that research and improve the overall performance of the connector. The eye of needle connector what is researched in this paper is mainly used in car, the connector will be affected by the vibration excitation while the car in driving , and the vibration excitation can affect the reliability of the connector, the pressure characteristics requirements of such connector will increase accordingly.This paper adopts a combination of theoretical calculation and finite element simulation to analyze and research the crimping reliability of eye of needle connector. The main research content is as follows:The crimping problem of eye of needle connector belongs to a nonlinear problem, its theory involves the contact mechanics, material mechanics and plastic mechanics and the friction mechanics. Including the contact between eye of needle and PCB hole, contact theory, the mechanism of friction and elastic-plastic deformation, etc. The crimping performance of eye of needle connector is analyzed through theoretical analysis, and the contact force, contact stress and equivalent stress, the insertion force and retention of eye of needle connector are calculated through the theoretical,put forward the feasible calculation method to reliability of pressure.Master the material, structure and mechanical properties of eye of needle connector through theoretical calculation, and than the entity model of eye of needle connector is established in the ANSYS WORKBENCH, through the ANSYS WORKBENCH software for simulation analysis to this connector. First of all, the contact analysis of the crimping of eye of needle connector is researched, its contact stress,contact force are got. Second, the insertion process are simulated, and dynamic insertion force are obtained. The last, The dynamic performance of eye of needle connector are simulated by ANSYS, including modal analysis, random vibration analysis and transient analysis, and concluding that the dynamic characteristics of the fisheye terminal connector.Simulation results show : the contact force will be applied as the change of the vibration frequency and amplitude, contact pressure is mainly affected by the vertical excitation. If the vibration frequency are imposed more than upper limit, it will make the contact pressure of eye of needle connector produce substantial fluctuations, and even make the eye of needle and PCB hole separate.Finally, the pressure characteristic of eye of needle connector are obtained through analysis the static performance and dynamic performance of the overall to the eye of needle connector, and then analyzes and research the reliability of pressure, and gives the crimping the reliability of the results of the eye of needle.
