On the basis of the history and status quo of the development of a large number of domestic and foreign permanent magnet generator and multi-phase generator,the design of the five tangent to the magnetic field of permanent magnet generators was proposed.Five tangent to a magnetic field of permanent magnet generator not only has the advantages of high efficiency,low loss and light weight which the permanent magnet generator has,but also has the poly-phase generator's characteristics like good low-speed performance and low noise,which has the important practical value in the automobile power supply field.According to the five-phase permanent magnet generator voltage magnetic chain equations and inductive electromotive force equations,winding parameters such as resistors,inductors,currents and reluctance on the effect of the output voltage were analysised.By analyzing the induction electromotive force equation,the conclusion that the no-load electric potential is proportional to speed and inversely proportional to the air gap length has been made.The calculation of the rotor,stator,stator winding of the tangential magnetic structure has been done.With the ANSOFT simulation software,the simulation model of two-dimensional,generator static magnetic force is established,and then the magnetic induction intensity,air gap flux density of the is simulated,analyzed and calculated,which verifies the feasibility and rationality of the design scheme of the generator.Five phase full bridge rectifier circuit,chopper circuit,sampling circuit,drive circuit based on single chip microcomputer control regulator controller has been designed,achieving regulated DC output,reducing energy consumption,and improving the efficiency of power generation.After the experimental analysis,the circuit of the regulator has good performance,solves the generator's problem of output-voltage instability on wide speed and wide load range.A five-phase permanent magnet generator with tangential magnetic field was developed which had a set of rectifier regulator and voltage regulator.When the speeds are in 2000r/min?4000r/min,the output voltage stability in the 42V.It meets its design objectives.
