The Researches On The Standardization Embodiment Of Construction Members' Organization And Mortise-tenon Joint Of Traditional Architecture In Linhai,zhejiang

This thesis researches on traditional wooden architecture's tenon,mortise and their wood craft technology in Linhai,Zhejiang.It explores the standard of the mortise and tenon,and points out that the standardization of mortise and tenon has critical relation to the organization of architectural components.The thesis investigates the definition of standardization and finds out the traditional wooden architecture in Linhai,Zhejiang accords with it.There is an identical standardized system in both the craftsman's cognition and the architecture entity.Based on the investigation on the commonly used tenon and mortise of Linhai craftsman,qualitative and quantitative analysis is made to explore the standardization of their form and dimensions.Further,the thesis discovers that the standardization of mortise and tenon is closely related to the standardization of the organization of architectural components.The thesis also investigates the woodcraft technology of the tenon and mortise.There are technologies to overcome the errors made by the natural shape of timber and by manual operation.These finally ensure the standardization of mortise and tenon,and also the standardization of the organization of architectural components.
